About the Position
The Climate Change Impact Assessment Intern will support multidisciplinary research on the impacts of climate change across agriculture, water, health, infrastructure, ecosystems, and socio-economic systems. The internship provides practical experience in climate impact modelling, vulnerability assessment, and evidence generation for policy and investment planning.
Specific Terms of Reference include
- Conduct literature reviews and data analysis.
- Support climate impact and vulnerability assessments.
- Analyze climate and socio-economic datasets.
- Prepare technical reports and policy summaries.
- Assist with climate risk modelling and scenario analysis.
- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
- Support development of climate indicators and evidence products.
Requirements
- Final-year MSc student or PhD candidate in Climate Science, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Hydrology, Environmental Economics, Sustainable Development, Geography, Public Health, or related disciplines.
- Excellent academic performace
- Experience with quantitative analysis using R, Python, or similar software.
- Strong scientific writing skills.
- Demonstrated interest in climate change research and sustainable development.
Terms of Employment
- Home-based internship.
- Duration: 3–6 months (renewable based on performance).
